Regina King Gives First TV Interview Since Beloved Son’s Suicide

*(CNN) — Regina King’s favourite position has been that of being a mother. King spoke with “Good Morning America” in an interview that aired Thursday, her first because the loss of life of her 26-year-old son Ian Alexander Jr., who died by suicide in January 2022.

The actress has devoted her forthcoming movie, “Shirley,” about activist and politician Shirley Chisholm, to her late son and mentioned a lot has modified since his passing.

“I do know that I share this grief with everybody. However nobody else is Ian’s mother, you already know? Solely me,” she continued. “The disappointment won’t ever go away. It’ll at all times be with me.”
