The Birthday Card
What Birthday Card, for him, can I purchase,
An unusual one is just not what he’d need,
Maybe it wants a ‘humorous’ joke,
That is proper for a ‘enjoyable’ bloke,
I hope on the discovering of 1, I can aspire.
There are some mushy rhymes that make me cringe,
With slushy phrases that on my thoughts impinge,
They actually will not be proper,
My alternative, they aren’t fairly,
I am positive if I purchased one I would have a bitch.
Perhaps a stunning scenic one would go well with,
However I do choose a card that provides a ‘hoot’,
I like to boost a smile,
Cos, I actually hate to rile,
And I will not upset this man, he is actually ‘cute’.
I’ve discovered one with an image of some wine
In bottles, which is a decidedly good signal,
However the colors are so bland,
That it is actually not that grand,
And I would prefer to ship him one he’ll know is mine.
Hey! I feel I’ve the reply and it is this,
I will purchase some wine and chocs that are delish,
I will knock on his entrance door,
With these choices and extra,
And begin his birthday rolling with a kiss.
