OpenAI bans use of Martin Luther King Jr.’s likeness after viral AI videos spark outrage

The announcement comes simply weeks after the launch of “Sora 2,” a software that enables customers to create hyper-realistic AI movies that includes actual and historic folks. As beforehand reported by theGrio, social media customers have used the platform to generate deepfakes of public figures like Dr. King and Robin Williams. This content material model has rapidly turn out to be a pattern throughout platforms like TikTok and Instagram, and whereas many see it as leisure, King describes it as “dishonoring, deplorable, and disrespectful.”
