Barbie introduced the discharge of a brand new doll honoring Dr. Opal Lee, the civil rights advocate whose willpower helped set up Juneteenth as a federal vacation. The doll, a part of the Inspiring Ladies Collection, captures Lee’s picture at age 89 when she courageously walked from Fort Price, Texas, to Washington, D.C. to boost consciousness about Juneteenth.
