One World Commerce Heart in Manhattan paid tribute to Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. on Monday, which was the group’s founders’ day.
In keeping with the fraternity, member Melvin Norris, who serves as Director of Authorities for The Durst Group that owns One World Commerce, had the corporate gentle the buildings in recognition of Alpha Phi Alpha’s 117th Founders’ Day. One World Commerce Heart together with 151 West forty second Road and One Bryant Park had been lit in fraternity’s colours black and previous gold.
Alpha Phi Alpha was based on Dec. 4, 1906 at Cornell College. It’s the oldest intercollegiate traditionally African American fraternity.
