Olivia Rodrigo Wants to Act Again and Duet With Noah Kahan

Olivia Rodrigo hasn’t utterly deserted her appearing profession for music.

The “Vampire” singer tells me she’d like to star in a movie. “I like films, I like telling tales,” Rodrigo mentioned on the Academy’s Governors Awards on Tuesday evening in Hollywood. “I actually need to do a coming-of-age factor possibly earlier than I’m truly of age. Perhaps I’m of age already.”

Rodrigo turns 21 on Feb. 20.

“I simply love telling tales, whether or not that be in a track or film, that’s actually one thing that basically excites me,” she mentioned.

Rodrigo’s appearing credit contains TV’s “Excessive College Musical: The Musical: The Collection,” “Bizaardvark” and an episode of “New Woman.”

She attended the Governors Awards in assist of “Can’t Catch Me Now,” her single from “The Starvation Video games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” soundtrack. The track has been shortlisted for the Oscars.

Rodrigo additionally revealed that she’d like to duet with greatest new artist Grammy nominee Noah Kahan. “I feel he’s so nice and he’s very inspiring,” she mentioned earlier than crossing her fingers and saying, “One in all today.”

The Governors Awards’ visitor record of different Oscar hopefuls included Emma Stone, Lenny Kravitz, Margot Robbie, Greta Gerwig, America Ferrera, Jeffrey Wright, Danielle Brooks, Wire Jefferson, Leslie Uggams, Greta Lee, Ariana Debose, Zac Efron, Florence Pugh, Diane Warren, Shailene Woodley, Rita Wilson, Rosamund Pike, Eugenio Derbez, Ava DuVernay, Dominic Sessa, David Oyelowo,  Mark Ruffalo, Glenn Shut, Celine Track, Charles Melton, Julianna Moore and Barry Keoghan.

Honorary Oscars had been offered to Angela Bassett, Mel Brooks and editor Carol Littleton. Michelle Satter acquired the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
