Obama praises Harvard University for standing up to Trump despite $2.2B funding threat

Former President Barack Obama applauded Harvard College after the Ivy League establishment refused to adjust to a listing of the Trump administration’s campus coverage calls for in trade for continued federal funding.

In a letter to the campus neighborhood printed late Monday, Harvard President Alan M. Garber declared, “The College won’t give up its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights.”
