NJ Mall Fight Arrest Video Update: Z’Kye Husain Wins Settlement

The household of a Black teenager has reached an undisclosed settlement with a police division in New Jersey two years after his illegal arrest on the Bridgewater Commons Mall.

Z’Kye Husain was on Thursday awarded a settlement for his 2022 arrest over an altercation recorded on video on the Bridgewater Commons Mall, in Bridgewater Township. Relations argued that race performed a job when the then 14-year-old was arrested for preventing one other teen, who’s of Pakistani and Colombian descent.
