New Orleans mother saves nine children from bus before it was caught up in flames

A New Orleans faculty bus driver, Kia Rousseve, stated she acted on her maternal instincts when she observed smoke emanating from the automobile. With out hesitation, she guided 9 kids to security simply earlier than the bus erupted into flames.

“As quickly as I noticed the bus smoking, my intuition stated, ‘Get them off the bus,’” Rousseve, 28, advised Fox 8 of the terrifying incident within the Central Metropolis neighborhood Wednesday morning.

Rousseve defined that her actions had been pushed by ideas of her personal baby. Her heroic intervention earned her the nickname “Braveness on Wheels” from her employer, Group Academies of New Orleans.

Rousseve, on her common faculty bus route, was nearing her fifth cease for Ok-8 college students when the harmful state of affairs unfolded. After making certain the kids’s security, she bravely went again to the bus to verify that nobody else was inside, in accordance with the New York Submit.
