New Hampshire man allegedly killed 7-year-old son after scorching him with hot water as discipline

A New Hampshire man, who allegedly killed his 7-year-old son after beating and scorching him with scorching water as a type of self-discipline, has been charged with homicide, the state Lawyer Common’s Workplace introduced on Monday. 

In line with NBC Boston, Murtadah Mohammad was arrested on January 17 after emergency crews went to a Manchester residence after receiving a report of a minor in misery. The minor, later recognized as Jaevion Riley, was discovered severely burned and assaulted. He later succumbed to his accidents after he was taken to a hospital. 

Prosecutors alleged that Mohammad “precipitated the dying of J.R., an individual underneath 13 years of age, recklessly underneath circumstances manifesting an excessive indifference to the worth of his life, by subjecting him to abusive violence and never acquiring well timed medical help for his accidents.”

In an interview with the information outlet, the deceased minor’s mom, Rainah Riley, stated her son died after he went right into a coma, including that the hospital labeled the 7-year-old’s accidents as “torture, mutilation, and brutalization.” She stated her son sustained a number of accidents together with fractures to the cranium and rib, bleeding within the mind, lung accidents, and extreme burns.
