Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Gets Expansion Voice in Baseball Legend Ryan Howard

The initiative consists of constructing what can be the nation’s solely Negro Leagues campus, a world hub for Negro Leagues and social historical past, a transformative complicated that includes the Buck O’Neil Training and Analysis Middle and a model new, 30,000 sq. foot state-of-the-art museum. A brand new state-of-the-art campus will present an immersive instructional expertise that connects world audiences to the wealthy cultural and social influence of the Negro Leagues.

Howard, generally known as “the Large Piece,” was a primary baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies for 13 seasons, from 2004 by way of 2016.
