National Youth Foundation Announces 2026 International Student Poetry and Art Competition Promoting Equality

Nationwide — With a objective of selling kindness and activism, international youth changemaker Isabella Hanson created the “I Matter” Poetry and Artwork Venture. A part of the “I Matter” Venture is the annual poetry and artwork competitors, which is sponsored by the Nationwide Youth Basis (NYF). The competitors supplies a platform for youth to make the most of writing and artwork to advocate for peace. This initiative grew from 150 individuals from 26 states in 2020 to over 2,500 individuals from 49 states and 64 nations in 2025. Hans, who’s at the moment a junior at Cornell College, created “I Matter” when she was 14 years previous. Now in its sixth 12 months, the “I Matter.”

The Nationwide Youth Basis was chosen as a recipient of the Born This Method Basis’s 2025 Kindness in Neighborhood Fund grant to help their grassroots work for youth psychological well being and well-being. As a recipient of the 2025 Kindness in Neighborhood Fund, the “I Matter” Venture continued to increase its community-based workshops for college students, each in-person and just about.

Within the workshops, Hanson and her workforce of scholar leaders educate youth impacted by violence and racial trauma about make the most of the humanities to course of their emotions and to advocate peacefully for change.
