National Action Network and Conference of National Black Churches launches ‘Get Out The Vote’ campaign

The Nationwide Motion Community (NAN) and the Convention of Nationwide Black Church buildings (CNBC) announce a brand new joint Get Out the Vote Marketing campaign forward of the 2024 elections that may deal with the important thing points earlier than Black People.

The trouble is a response to the concerted, ongoing effort to undermine the ability of the Black vote in dozens of states, as courts concurrently proceed to chip away at affirmative motion, healthcare entry, and different hard-won civil rights. 

“The Black Church was the inspiration of the Civil Rights Motion, notably within the effort to unlock the vote for Black southerners,” stated Dr. W. Franklyn Richardson, Chairman of the Convention of Nationwide Black Church buildings (CNBC) and Nationwide Motion Community (NAN). “We once more discover ourselves in a season of duress, from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic to the assaults on fairness in training, jobs, and the vote. CNBC stands as a single unit for the six largest predominantly Black denominations of Christianity, in partnership with the activism and advocacy of NAN, to make sure our voice is heard on the polls.” 

Rev. Al Sharpton introduced the brand new, nonpartisan marketing campaign Wednesday night time at CNBC’s Annual Session in Orlando. The marketing campaign will start in January with coaching classes for clergy, chapter leaders, and youth organizers to assist get out the vote.
