As overdose deaths proceed to surge, the Mecklenburg County Alcoholic Beverage Management (ABC) Board has geared up its 31 shops with naloxone, a medicine that may save the lives of individuals experiencing an opioid overdose.

Keva Walton, the company’s chief govt officer, mentioned the ABC board acknowledges the necessity to assist tackle the county’s opioid epidemic, which has seen the speed of overdose deaths surge, particularly amongst Black and Hispanic residents.

The way it works
