Mutulu Shakur, Black Liberation Elder & 2Pac’s Stepdad, Has Died

Born Jeral Wayne Williams on August eighth, 1950, he was a loving father and grandfather, revolutionary acupuncturist, human rights organizer and former political prisoner of conflict. Mutulu’s life was transformative to the many individuals he organized, healed, mentored and impressed.

Dr. Mutulu Shakur taught us that ‘individuals battle for liberation as a result of they love [the] individuals.’ He’ll at all times be remembered for his continued dedication to an impartial and socialist New Afrika and for his battle cry, Straight Forward!”

 

Born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 8, 1950, Shakur moved to Queens, New York as a toddler and shortly after turned energetic with the Revolutionary Motion Motion and Republic of New Afrika as a teen.
