Nationwide — An African American mom from Magee, Mississippi, drove her son to the police station after he was accused of assaulting a Walmart worker. Her son, Norman Whitlock, was taken into custody and charged.
Police had responded to a report of an assault in progress on the native Walmart. When officers arrived, they discovered that an worker had been attacked. They started trying to find the individual accountable.
Throughout the investigation, dispatch obtained a name from a girl who stated she was bringing her son in for the assault. Police confirmed she had not been contacted beforehand, in line with WLBT.
The Magee Police Division later praised the mom’s resolution, saying she acted on her personal to carry her son accountable. They shared an announcement on-line, calling her actions a powerful instance of accountable parenting.
