Mayor Bowser’s 11th Annual Fresh Start 5K kicks off 2025

Braving the chilly climate and gusty winds, Washingtonians introduced heat and cheer to Anacostia Park on Jan. 1 for Mayor Muriel Bowser’s eleventh annual Contemporary Begin 5K.

With 1000’s flocking to Southeast D.C. to kick off 2025 with train, the annual gathering was not solely about selling well being, but in addition emphasizing the significance of togetherness and celebrating the wonder and boldness of District tradition.
