Mayor Adams rolls out youth summer program funding

Mayor Eric Adams kicked off summer season by saying $13 million in community-based security initiatives to maintain the youngsters busy throughout the hottest — and most violent — months.

“With a purpose to make our metropolis a spot of peace and the very best place to lift a household throughout the summer season months, we have to attain our younger individuals earlier than they fall into the rivers of violence,” stated Mayor Adams in an announcement. “This summer season, we’re going to ensure that our younger individuals have enjoyable and keep secure by investing in upstream options that present them with issues to do.
