Maxine Waters blasts Republicans seeking HIV/AIDS program cuts

Home Republicans have threatened to chop funding to nationwide and world HIV/Aids applications, prompting Rep. Maxine Waters, a longtime Democrat from California, to sentence the transfer, saying it would have a detrimental affect Black communities.

Talking on the Annual United States Convention on HIV/AIDS in Washington, D.C. final week, Waters referred to as out Republicans for suggesting they might decline to reauthorize the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Aid (PEPFAR).
