*(CNN) — Dexter Scott King, the youngest son of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., has died, in response to statements from his household and the King Middle.
The King Middle confirmed in an announcement the 62-year-old civil rights activist died Monday after a battle with prostate most cancers.
The third youngster of Dr. and Mrs. Coretta Scott King was married to Leah Weber King in 2013.
