Vitafresh Produce from the UK is rising its African contemporary produce footprint with the institution of Vitafresh Exports.
Formally launched in November 2024, this new department marks a strategic transfer to solidify South Africa as the corporate’s main supply of contemporary produce for international markets.
Daniel Badger, Managing Director of Vitafresh Produce within the UK, relocated to South Africa in Might 2024. He has been overseeing the setup of the brand new operation.
“The primary merchandise exported from South Africa are butternut squash, citrus, grapes, berries,” he instructed Recent Plaza.
“We will even add produce from all over the world to our vary: limes, peppers, figs, candy potatoes, melons, and extra.”

To diversify its product portfolio and guarantee year-round provide, Badger and his crew have been forging connections with growers and exporters in different African international locations.
In early December, Badger visited Egypt, a key rising marketplace for Vitafresh, to determine new partnerships.
