Louis Vuitton Taps Pat McGrath As Creative Director Makeup Line

The legendary make-up artist Pat McGrath has been appointed because the Inventive Director of Louis Vuitton’s inaugural make-up line.

Louis Vuitton has tapped the famend make-up artist Pat McGrath to guide its first-ever make-up model.

McGrath, acknowledged by Vogue as “probably the most influential make-up artist on this planet,” has been appointed because the Inventive Director of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, the luxurious retailer’s official make-up model, which can launch this fall. The partnership marks the fruits of LV and McGrath’s years-long relationship, throughout which McGrath has styled the faces of LV fashions for quite a few runway exhibits.

“It’s a real honor. I’m simply so excited,” McGrath advised WWD. “At Vuitton, magnificence follows that very same ethos: design that’s meticulously crafted and deeply intentional.”

“For me, Vuitton is luxurious in movement — at all times evolving, at all times pushing ahead, and sweetness follows that very same philosophy,” she added. “It’s a private journey of exploration. It’s made to maneuver with you in your on a regular basis life.”

The make-up assortment options lipsticks, balms, and eyeshadows which might be a storyteller’s dream. With 55 lipstick shades, the model’s initials “LV” are represented as Roman numerals, symbolizing the quantity 55. Paying homage to LV’s historical past as a luxurious baggage model, the make-up line contains colours and substances that every inform a singular story.

McGrath’s appointment as Inventive Director for LV’s make-up debut is the fruits of her longstanding collaboration with the long-lasting model.
