Longtime DC Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton to end her reelection campaign

WASHINGTON (AP) — Eleanor Holmes Norton, the 18-term delegate for the District of Columbia in Congress and a veteran of the Civil Rights Motion, has filed paperwork to finish her marketing campaign for reelection, probably closing out a decades-long profession in public service.

Norton, 88, has been the only consultant of the residents of the nation’s capital in Congress since 1991, however she confronted rising questions on her effectiveness after the Trump administration started its sweeping intervention into the town final yr.
