Legacy Women, Inc. held its twentieth Anniversary Celebration, the Torch Awards Gala, on June 29, on the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey.
In keeping with the organizers, “This event honored the group’s 20 years of transformative work of empowering disenfranchised ladies to turn out to be brave leaders and productive international residents.

“Based with the mission to rework the lives of younger ladies by means of revolutionary packages, Legacy Women, Inc. has made a profound impression over time.”
Beneath the management of Government Director Jacqueline Castillo, the group has developed packages corresponding to Younger Minds Matter Management Academy for elementary faculty ladies and the award-winning, From the Faculty Home to The White Home Management Academy, offering highschool African American ladies with distinctive management experiences. Since its inception in 2010, this management program has benefited over 800 ladies.

Moreover, over the previous 20 years, Legacy Women, Inc. has awarded over $1.5 million in monetary assist, journeys, and in-kind choices to assist households and ladies. This 12 months, the group awarded seven graduating seniors with a $10,000 scholarship, laptop computer laptop, and a $500 airline reward card. The recipients have been Jayla Ducre, Charlee Franklin, Catelynn Jones, Onyinyechukwu Njoku, Darasimi Ogumeye, Arynn Patton, and Kiara Sims.

Additionally, the Torch Awards Gala honored Dr. Belinda Allen, govt director of the West Angeles Group Improvement Company; Woman Jacqueline Castillo, founder and govt director of Legacy Women; and Tammy Tumbling, govt vice-president and COO of the Orange County Group Basis and founding father of the African American Alliance Fund.
The night was hosted by Chris Schauble, KTLA morning information anchor, and leisure was offered by singer/songwriter Elaine Gibbs and NuSoul. The night concluded with a toast from Noel Massie, retired vice-president of UPS’s U.S. Operations.
