Oscar nominees Kristen Wiig and Invoice Murray are to affix forces for upcoming comedy “Epiphany.”
The movie can be directed by Max Barbakow, who made a splash together with his debut, 2020’s critically acclaimed and Golden Globe-winning sci-fi rom-com “Palm Springs,” working from a script by Mitch Glazer (“The Recruit,” “Scrooged”).
CAA Media Finance and Vary Media Companions symbolize home rights, whereas Rocket Science will deal with worldwide and is introducing the mission on the European Movie Market in Berlin this week.
“Epiphany” follows Favourite Ives (Wiig), an heiress and fashionista who has blown by means of her total fortune and is pressured to take up a problem: marry a wealthy husband in two weeks or lose every part and find yourself on the road. Her determined seek for a big-money mark slams her into eccentric math savant and billionaire Oz Bell (Invoice Murray). Favourite wants Oz’s cash and Oz craves Favourite’s spirit and spontaneity. The movie is being produced by Glazer (“Misplaced in Translation”) and The Gotham Group’s Lee Stollman and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (“Ship Me From Nowhere,” “The Maze Runner” franchise). Wiig and Murray are each serving as government poducers alongside Jillian Apfelbaum (“The Mule,” “Late Night time”) and Margot Hand (“Passing,” “Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar”).
