Kamal Haasan, Sivakarthikeyan Team for Sony India’s Patriotic Film

Sony Photos Worldwide Productions (SPIP) is making its debut in Tamil-language cinema with a movie starring Sivakarthikeyan.

The venture is at the moment recognized as “SK21,” that means that it’s the twenty first movie starring Sivakarthikeyan, who headlines the movie alongside Sai Pallavi. SPIP is producing alongside multihyphenate Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Movies Worldwide (RKFI) and co-produced by God Bless Leisure, with Haasan and R. Mahendran serving as producers with SPIP.

The movie, written and directed by Raj Kumar Periasamy (“Rangoon,” “Bigg Boss Tamil”), is billed as a story of “guts and gore” and “excessive on patriotism.” It’s based mostly on a chapter in Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s “India Most Fearless” collection of books that recount tales of Indian navy heroes. The movie has commenced principal images with a two-month schedule within the northern Indian state of Kashmir.

The movie was introduced in Chennai, with Haasan, Mahendran, Sivakarthikeyan, Pallavi, Periasamy, composer G.V. Prakash, co-producer Vakil Khan, SPIP India basic supervisor and head Lada Guruden Singh and RKFI CEO Narayanan current.

SPIP, which has a number of Hindi-language movies to its credit score, debuted in Telugu-language movies with “Main” in 2022, with the movie additionally ready in a Hindi model. An as-yet-untitled movie starring Varun Tej is being produced in Hindi and Telugu variations.

That is RKFI’s 51st manufacturing, the fiftieth being “Vikram,” starring Haasan, which was one of many largest hits of 2022.

Sivakarthikeyan debuted in 2012 with “Marina” and his latest hits embrace “Don” and Physician.” Pallavi debuted in 2015 with “Premam,” which is among the largest hits within the historical past of Malayalam-language cinema. Her latest successes embrace “Shyam Singha Roy” and “Gargi.”
