Jeannie Mai Says Jeezy Divorce Feels Like ‘Death’

*Jeannie Mai has spoken candidly concerning the emotional affect of her divorce from Jeezy, likening the expertise to “experiencing dying alive.”

The previous couple married in March 2021 and divorced after two years of marriage. They finalized their cut up following a high-profile custody battle for his or her four-year-old daughter, Monaco.

On the January 29 episode of the podcast Query Every thing, Mai detailed the ache of navigating divorce whereas parenting. She expressed reduction that Monaco wouldn’t keep in mind the battle between her mother and father. “That’s not one thing I need her to ever have to consider. My job is to outline peace for her. Reflecting on her journey, Mai acknowledged previous errors in how she approached love and rebuilding. “For years, I mistook chaos for love,” she mentioned. She now feels a way of completeness she hadn’t earlier than: “That is the primary time I’ve actually felt entire.”
