Jasmine Crockett explains how Colin Kaepernick was the first sign of Trump’s attack on free speech

Democrats are decrying what they are saying is President Donald Trump‘s wholesale assault on free speech in America after a sequence of actions in latest weeks, from the tried cancellation of comic Jimmy Kimmel from his late-night present to the latest indictment of Trump’s longtime political foe, former FBI Director James Comey.

U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, among the many many Democrats condemning the Trump administration, defined that Trump’s assaults on free speech could be traced again to his first time period and the storied NFL controversy associated to former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

When Kaepernick and a number of other different athletes started protesting the Nationwide Anthem, Trump forcefully spoke out and known as their actions unpatriotic and a “disrespect” of the American flag. Trump infamously mentioned of Kaepernick and different NFL protesters, “Get that son of a b*tch off the sector…he’s fired!”
