Queen Aminah Muhammad, president of the Leimert Park Retailers Affiliation, unites with founder Denise Estelle to current the twenty third Annual Honor Thy Father Awards.

“From my perspective, Black males don’t get acknowledged for the nice works that they do. All we hear about are the unfavourable, dangerous issues that occur within the Black neighborhood. All the things that I do is from my coronary heart, my spirit, to uplift the Black neighborhood, uplift the ladies, uplift the boys,” defined Aminah.
“We have now to do this, come collectively in unity, you already know, present one another love, respect one another. I imply, after all, now we have our little dangerous kids. That’s what I name them, you already know, I’m an elder… I can name them that. However on the finish of the day, we’re nonetheless household. If we don’t respect the boys in our neighborhood, there’s nobody else that’s going to do it.”

On this society, you want each dad and mom to fortify your self. So, I’m all the time excited to honor our males, honor our brothers, our fathers, our mentors. The boys who’re making a distinction in our lives. It makes them need to do higher,” insisted Estelle.
The Honor Thy Father Awards will start at 11 am with the Rites of Passage Ceremony and can conclude at 6 pm. Though the Honor Thy Father Awards occasion is free, Estelle for Humanity is accepting donations to help with manufacturing.
