HBCU Student Making History as a Triple-Threat Scholar and Rhodes Recipient

Nationwide — Aniaba Jean-Baptiste N’guessan, an African American pupil at Morehouse Faculty, an HBCU in Atlanta, has been named a 2026 Rhodes Scholar. The scholarship will fund his graduate research at Oxford College, one of many world’s most prestigious tutorial honors.

Aniaba, a senior triple majoring in economics, arithmetic, and pc science, has constructed a exceptional tutorial and management file. Born in Côte d’Ivoire, he first developed his management expertise on the African Management Academy in South Africa earlier than becoming a member of Morehouse, the place he has excelled as a scholar, researcher, and neighborhood builder.

At Morehouse, he served two phrases as president of the Worldwide College students Group, fostering inclusion and mentorship. His analysis expertise consists of creating AI-driven financial fashions at Stanford College and contributing to computational initiatives at Emory College.

Past teachers, Aniaba co-founded Viridis AI, a platform utilizing synthetic intelligence to assist life administration.
