GWBCC honors leaders in Black entrepreneurship and group constructing
The Better Washington DC Black Chamber of Commerce (GWBCC) will host its Juneteenth Awards Reception on June 30 to honor entrepreneurs for his or her efforts to maintain, construct, and inform communities. The occasion will acknowledge Kristina Noell, Amanda Stephenson, Yusef Henriques, and others for his or her contributions to the financial and cultural material of the larger Washington area. Honorees embrace Kristina Noell, the primary African American lady to function a Enterprise Enchancment District government director in Washington, D.C.; Amanda Stephenson, founding father of the Recent Meals Manufacturing facility, which combats meals deserts in Ward 8; and Yusef Henriques, who launched a genomics startup in D.C. to advance well being fairness for Indigenous and African diasporic communities. Additionally acknowledged are cooks Mac McAlister and Pinkey Reddick, house owners of Flavorture; B.
