Gabrielle Union has hailed Taraji P. Henson for caring for the “subsequent technology” of Black stars.
The “Being Mary Jane” actor has taken to social media to reward the Hollywood star, who lately revealed that she’s “uninterested in working so arduous” solely to obtain a “fraction” of her wage.
“Not a rattling lie instructed. Not. A. Rattling. Lie,” Union wrote on X in response to Henson’s feedback. “We go TO BAT for the following technology — and hell even our personal technology and above. We don’t hesitate to be the change that all of us must see, AND it takes a toll in your thoughts, well being, soul and profession, if we’re keepin’ it 100.”
Henson beforehand revealed that she’s contemplating strolling away from the film trade.
“I’m simply uninterested in working so arduous, being gracious at what I do, and getting paid a fraction of the price. I’m uninterested in listening to my sisters saying the identical factor again and again. I hear individuals go, ‘You’re employed quite a bit.’ I’ve to. The mathematics ain’t matching,” the actress instructed Sirius XM.

“Know that off the highest, Uncle Sam is getting 50 p.c,” Henson acknowledged. “So now we’re at 5 million. Your workforce is getting 30 p.c of no matter you gross — not after what Uncle Sam took. Now, do the mathematics.”
