By its Black Organizing Improvements Venture, the Black Futures Lab awarded a complete of $1.4 million to teams that embody organizations like Black Voters Matter, the Working Households Celebration and Black Males Construct.
Alicia Garza, Black Futures Lab’s founder and principal, stated in an announcement that the funds are for use to assist foster the Black male voters – “a essential a part of the Black vote” – who’re already actively working to guard democracy.
