France TV Distribution Boards ‘Thalassa’ Reboot, ‘Deep Blue Horizons’

France television distribution has boarded worldwide gross sales for “Deep Blue Horizons – Exploring the Seas,” a documentary collection hosted by journalist and explorer Diego Buñuel.

A reboot of France Televisions‘ iconic wildlife format “Thalassa,” the factual title is being unveiled to consumers at Mipdoc in Cannes.

Within the collection, Buñuel embarks on a journey from Peru to Australia, and discovers individuals whose lives rely upon the ocean. The French program highlights the hazards that threaten seas and oceans, together with the air pollution, overfishing and international warming; in addition to portrays activists and locals who combat to protect them. The episodes showcase the depths of the Pacific from Peru to Ecuador, Polynesia, Australia and the Arctic.

“Being underwater, for me who’s been diving all my life, is unbelievable. The documentary collection will premiere on France 5 and is being produced by france.television studio.
