Florida shooter was on HBCU campus before killing 3 Blacks

The avowed White supremacist who shot and killed three Black individuals in Florida had first visited the campus of a traditionally Black faculty simply previous to the massacre at a close-by Greenback Normal.

The nonetheless unidentified White man was described as being in his 20s and was filmed visiting Edward Waters College, a personal Christian HBCU in Jacksonville. The New York Instances confirmed that he “had been noticed on the campus” after reportedly driving from his mother and father’ dwelling in Clay County.

The college’s president Dr. A. Zachary Faison, Jr. confirmed that the White man was confronted by campus safety and directed off the college grounds. 

“We realized that the perpetrator of this heinous act did come to the Edward Waters campus through his car and drive onto the campus,” Faison stated in a video posted to the establishment’s Fb web page. Faison added that campus safety “instantly confronted this perpetrator nearly instantly” and decided he had no affiliation with the establishment.

Faison continued, saying: “The perpetrator did placed on an armored vest and get again in his car and at the moment our campus safety pursued him additional and directed him off of the Edward Waters campus.”

Jacksonville Sheriff T.Okay. Waters stated at a information convention early Saturday night that “this capturing was racially motivated and he hated Black individuals.”

The White shooter killed two males and one lady earlier than capturing himself. Waters stated the person left behind three manifestos detailing his “disgusting ideology of hate” in addition to his motive for the killings.

The White man might have used the campus, which is blocks away from the Greenback Normal, as a spot to don his tactical gear after which perform mass homicide.

“He took that chance to place his bulletproof vest on outdoors and to place his masks on outdoors after which proceed to the shop the place he dedicated this horrible act,” Waters informed CNN.
