Florida sheriff tells protesters ahead of anti-Trump rally: ‘We will kill you’

A Florida sheriff shockingly vowed to “kill” protesters who threaten or commit violence in opposition to regulation enforcement officers forward of a scheduled rally in opposition to President Donald Trump and his administration on Saturday.

“We’re not going to play,” stated Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey throughout a Thursday information convention simply days earlier than the nationwide “No Kings” protests occurring Saturday.

On the heels of President Trump sending the U.S. navy to Los Angeles, the place related protests have taken place in opposition to his immigration raids and deportations, Ivey issued a stark warning to protesters, who’re anticipated within the hundreds throughout the state of Florida.

Sheriff Ivey, a Republican and Trump supporter, echoed the president’s current Reality Social publish by which he stated of Los Angeles protesters, “In the event that they spit, we are going to hit.” Trump has notably endorsed police “immunity” and ordered his administration to finish federal probes into police misconduct.

“This type of language is just not solely reckless — it’s harmful. When regulation enforcement officers, particularly these in positions of energy, use phrases like ‘kill you graveyard useless,’ they’re not selling security — they’re inciting concern and violence,” Florida State Senator Shevrin Jones advised theGrio in response to Sheriff Ivey’s remarks.
