William McNeil Jr. wasn’t committing any offense that might even remotely warrant the way in which he was handled by a band of bloodthirsty “blue lives” within the perpetually janky state of Florida. BOSSIP beforehand reported on the viral video that captured the web’s consideration a number of weeks in the past, displaying McNeil being assaulted and having his automotive window smashed by police officer D. Bowers.

The traumatic incident has taken each a bodily and a psychological toll on McNeil Jr., and his household has been hopeful that Officer Bowers can be held accountable for his gross misconduct. Nevertheless, as we talked about, Florida is perpetually janky.

In line with ABC Information, prosecutors have introduced through a 16-page memo that Bowers will face no legal costs for his violent arrest of an unarmed Black man.

“The State Lawyer’s Workplace has reviewed this matter to find out whether or not any of Officer [D.] Bowers’ actions represent against the law. We conclude they don’t,” the memo said.

“Officer Bowers carried out a lawful site visitors cease and gave McNeil 12 particular person lawful instructions, which McNeil refused to obey. Repeatedly requesting a supervisor and arguing the deserves of the site visitors cease didn’t absolve McNeil from following lawful orders,” the memo continues. “McNeil’s refusal to supply his identification, registration, and proof of insurance coverage, adopted by his refusal to exit the SUV, present his fingers, and obey the officers’ orders, created a harmful scenario for all concerned.”

The one “harmful” folks concerned on this incident had been Bowers and his fellow officers, who did nothing to de-escalate the scenario.

Ubiquitous civil rights lawyer Ben Crump and household lawyer Harry Daniels launched a joint assertion in response to the inflammatory announcement that Bowers will likely be allowed to stroll away from this case scot-free.

“Frankly, we anticipated nothing much less particularly after Sheriff Waters introduced their conclusions greater than three weeks earlier than the report was issued,” the assertion stated. “Since they’re unwilling to hunt justice, we must request that the U.S. Division of Justice examine this incident and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Workplace.”

We will likely be watching carefully how the Division of Justice underneath Donald Trump handles this case, as they’ve proven an outright refusal to take a lot of these blatant circumstances critically.
