Nationwide — Tasheba Anderson, a 52-year-old African American mom from Miami, Florida, died after firefighters allegedly left her in vital situation. Her household claims the primary responders’ actions contributed to her dying, and an investigation is underway.

Two weeks in the past, Anderson suffered extreme abdomen ache, a recurring difficulty that had beforehand despatched her to the hospital. Paramedics from Miami-Dade Fireplace Rescue arrived at her Opa-Locka house and commenced treating her. Nevertheless, they instantly left after receiving a name for a close-by fireplace.

“That they had wrapped a sheet round her neck, after which, they received a name for a fireplace up the road. They left her right here and mentioned they’d be again,” Anderson’s sister, Audrey Bend, advised WLBT.

As the primary responders walked away, Bend recalled listening to Anderson plead for assist. “She was saying, ‘Why received’t they assist me? Why no person received’t assist me? Why they simply depart me like that? Why they received’t assist me?’” Bend mentioned. Moments later, Anderson misplaced consciousness.

When the firefighters returned, rigidity escalated between them and Anderson’s household. Bend describes how one firefighter threw Anderson’s ID on the bottom after her cousin handed it to her.

Firefighters ultimately took Anderson to Jackson North Medical Middle, however it was too late. She died inside two hours, abandoning a 21-year-old son.

“They might have saved her life. They left her,” Bend mentioned. “I’ve by no means heard this in my life, and I’m 69 years outdated. I’ve by no means heard a firefighter leaving somebody. That is what we pay you for: to guard us.”

Anderson’s reason for dying stays unknown. Six months earlier, she had undergone gastric bypass surgical procedure, however her household had not seen any issues.

“I really feel like one thing may have labored out if they simply did their job, not simply go and depart her and say, ‘I’ll be again.’What fireplace rescue does that?” she added.
