FilmSharks Picks up Fantastic Fest Premiere ‘The Evil That Binds Us’

FilmSharks has nabbed worldwide gross sales rights to “The Evil That Binds Us” (“Todos los males”), a Chile-Mexico co-production from Nico Postiglione (“Immersion”) set to bow in competitors on the upcoming version of Austin’s Unbelievable Fest.

Backed by Oro Movies, Whisky Content material and Body, the Nineteen Fifties Valdivia-set thriller follows Daniel, a boy who lately misplaced his mom and meets the Riedels, his father’s German-origin facet household. Remoted by his cultural disconnection, Daniel finds solace in Ema, a woman who will unearth the Riedels’ darkish secrets and techniques to him. 

When Ema disappears and tragedy is roofed up, Daniel faces betrayal and decides to hunt revenge earlier than leaving.

As a piece in progress challenge, the movie was showcased on the Cannes Marché du Movie showcase Tallinn Black Nights Goes to Cannes in 2024. It benefited from Chile’s Fondo de Fomento Audiovisual and Corfo IFI Los Ríos assist.
