FAMU Cheer Squad Secures Deal With Mielle Organics Hair Care

The three-year partnership makes the FAMU cheer squad model ambassadors for the pure hair care firm.

The cheer squad at Florida A&M College (FAMU) has secured a partnership with Mielle Organics to change into model ambassadors for the worldwide pure hair care model.

The three-year deal was revealed to the general public on Nov. 27.

“I liked every little thing about my time at FAMU, and this can be a full circle second to provide again on this method,” Mielle president Omar Goff, who graduated from the establishment’s College of Enterprise and Trade in 2004, stated in a press launch. “We began the HBCU partnership journey at Howard College with the queens of the pool, and now we’re right here to associate with the queens of cheer.”

The corporate, a newly added division of P&G magnificence, has established a $250,000 partnership that can embrace product sampling, activations, in addition to social media campaigns to advertise each the cheerleaders and the brand new favourite hair merchandise.

Mielle Organics was based by Monique Rodriguez in 2014. As a Black-owned hair care model, it has continued to uplift its neighborhood, notably at HBCUs like FAMU.

“It’s nice to have Rattlers in nice locations,” stated FAMU cheer squad head coach Brandi Tatum-Fedrick. “We’re tremendous excited for Omar Goff’s dedication to his alma mater. In my 18 years of teaching, that is our first partnership, so I’m excited for a lot of extra to come back.”

Tatum-Fedrick additionally was instrumental in bringing the partnership to fruition by way of her further position as FAMU assistant vice chairman of annual and affinity giving. That is the cheer squad’s first hair care model deal.

This model goes to evolve FAMU Cheer,” stated Ashlyn Boles, FAMU cheer co-captain. “It’ll permit us to step out of our consolation zone to say I can put on my pure hair, and I can rock my pure hair and look good whereas doing it.”
