Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was established on January 9, 1914, at Howard College by three visionary college students: A. Langston Taylor, Charles I. Brown, and Leonard F. Morse. Dedicated to their mission, the founders aimed to create a Greek-letter fraternity that might embody the core ideas of brotherhood, scholarship, and repair.
The fraternity shares an in depth reference to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., a sister group that it helped to determine. Collectively, the 2 organizations promote shared values and collaborate on initiatives that uphold their foundational beliefs.
Phi Beta Sigma’s motto, “Tradition For Service and Service For Humanity,” displays its dedication to creating a constructive impression on communities worldwide. Its official colours, Royal Blue and Pure White, symbolize unity and excellence, whereas the dove serves as a significant image for the fraternity.
