Diddy and Diageo Permanently Part Ways

After greater than a decade, the partnership between alcoholic beverage firm Diageo and Sean “Diddy” Combs is not any extra.

After months of creating headlines, Diddy and Diageo introduced in a joint assertion Tuesday that they’ve fully minimize ties and that they settled a lawsuit wherein Diddy accused the corporate of being racist and neglecting his vodka and tequila manufacturers.

CNBC reviews that in an announcement, the London-based firm and the Dangerous Boy music mogul stated they “have now agreed to resolve all disputes between them.”

“Mr. Combs has withdrawn all of his allegations about Diageo and can voluntarily dismiss his lawsuits towards Diageo with prejudice,” the assertion continued, including that Diageo and Diddy have “no ongoing enterprise relationship, both with respect to Cîroc vodka or DeLeón tequila, which Diageo now solely owns.”

The partnership between Diageo and Diddy started in 2007 via the latter’s firm Combs Wines and Spirits, which linked up with Diageo to advertise his fashionable vodka model Cîroc. In 2013, they partnered up once more with the acquisition of tequila model DeLeón. However final 12 months, the partnership hit a hell of a snag when Diddy filed a lawsuit accusing Diageo of racial discrimination and claiming the corporate uncared for Cîroc and DeLeón and marketed them as “city” manufacturers.

Diddy will now not be affiliated with both.
