The previous member of the 90’s RCA Information R&B boy band Me 2 U is again with one other wonderful solo venture. Performing alongside artists like SWV, Mario, Stephanie Mills, and the legendary Dionne Warwick, Devon has taken word from these greats, creating an identifiable sound all his personal.
Loaded with good vibes and clean vocals, this venture, the follow-up to Devon’s ‘Return to Love’ (2015), continues with timeless tales of affection over basic midtempo grooves.
Beginning with the steppers remix model of Eternally and All the time, every track flows seamlessly into the subsequent locking into a gradual groove, setting the tone for the album. 5 songs in, Devon slows it down with the sensual and attractive ‘You Know (I Need You)’ and ‘Holding On.’ The fourth single ‘Oh Love’ will get us again within the groove with this bouncy ode to like. The feelgood vibe continues with ‘I Promise and ‘Transferring On,’ ending with two bonus remixes by Debonair Samir.
As a inventive artist, Devon understands how essential photographs and music movies are when including a visible layer to an artist’s profession. Having labored with legendary photographer Timothy White (Whitney Houston, Jay Z) and famed director Chris Robinson (Beyonce, Usher) prior to now, for this venture he teamed up with the extremely gifted film and video director, Alvin Grey, creating gorgeous movies for the primary three singles from Morning Son.
