De La Soul Launches Morehouse Summit For Black Men’s Health

Hip-hop group De La Soul is launching a summit at Morehouse Faculty to handle well being inequities for Black males.

The inaugural occasion, titled, “Good Well being: Thoughts, Physique & Soul Summit,” will go down Feb. 19 on the all-men’s HBCU. The unique occasion will join group leaders and innovators throughout the well being, science, sports activities, and leisure sectors, sparking conversations surrounding Black males’s well being and wellness.

Powered by LIXTE Biotechnology Holdings Inc., a pharmaceutical firm specializing in medical most cancers remedy, the occasion will spotlight well being subjects, offering details and insights with the tradition in thoughts. Impressed by the group’s newest hit “Good Well being,” from the tenth studio album “Cabin In The Sky,” the Good Well being Summit will champion the group’s advocacy past hip-hop. Members of the enduring rap trio additionally emphasised their evolving mission to assist Black males reside longer and higher.

Since their breakout in New York’s hip-hop scene, De La Soul, comprised of members Posdnuos, the late Trugoy the Dove, and Maseo, have held their very own within the rap recreation with their artistic lyrics and infusion of jazz and various sounds. The Grammy-winning group has gone on to obtain widespread important acclaim and recognition from fellow hip-hop greats alike.

The summit will host periods in three sides, specializing in psychological, bodily, and emotional well being.
