“Dating My Past” Film to be Showcased at 20th Annual International Black Film Festival in Nashville, TN

Nationwide — Courting My Previous, a heartfelt romantic movie exploring self-discovery, has been formally chosen to be showcased on the prestigious twentieth Annual Worldwide Black Movie Pageant (IBFF), happening on the campus of Belmont College in Nashville, Tennessee.

The movie will likely be featured on the Johnson Theater (R. Milton and Denice Johnson Heart) on October 4, 2025, at 6 pm, as a part of the competition’s mission to spotlight genuine voices, various tales, and culturally wealthy narratives. This choice marks a big milestone within the journey of Courting My Previous.

“Having Courting My Previous showcased on the historic IBFF is a dream realized,” stated Aaron Jordan Jr., Government Producer. “Bringing the phrases of my e book to life on display has been a journey fueled by ardour and goal. I’m thrilled to share this story on such a significant platform with an viewers that values genuine storytelling.”

The twentieth Annual IBFF, scheduled for October 1–5, 2025, continues its legacy of amplifying filmmakers and tales that replicate the depth, complexity, and richness of Black experiences. The competition attracts collectively filmmakers, business professionals, students, and audiences from throughout the nation, creating a super stage for Courting My Previous to attach with viewers. “We’re thrilled to showcase Courting My Previous at this 12 months’s Worldwide Black Movie Pageant. It’s a highly effective reflection of storytelling that resonates with fact, coronary heart, and artistry, and we’re honored to offer a platform for its movie competition debut,” stated IBFF Founder Hazel Joyner Smith.

Impressed by Aaron Jordan Jr.’s highly effective e book, “The Energy Inside A Girl’s Price: From Each Sexes,” Courting My Previous takes audiences on an emotional journey via relationships, self-discovery, and therapeutic. The movie highlights the challenges and triumphs of confronting the previous to embrace the longer term, exploring common themes of affection, resilience, and private transformation.

Attendees at IBFF will expertise a story that entertains, conjures up, and sparks significant dialogue in regards to the complexities of recent relationships and relationship. The movie’s message of empowerment and development resonates deeply, providing each reflection and hope.
