LOS ANGELES (AP) — D’Angelo, the Grammy-winning R&B singer acknowledged by his raspy but easy voice and for garnering mainstream consideration with the shirtless “Untitled (How Does It Really feel)” music video, has died. He was 51.
The singer, whose actual title was Michael Eugene Archer, died Tuesday, in line with a press release from the household.
The singer’s household confirmed in a press release Tuesday that he died after battle with most cancers. His household known as him a “shining star of our household and has dimmed his mild for us on this life.”
