Community mourns death of Morehouse College student Kyle Coleman

The seek for a lacking Morehouse Faculty scholar has come to a tragic finish. 

Kyle Coleman, 19, was final seen alive whereas out with pals on Friday, June 7. On June 10, dive staff members with the Fairfax County Police Division (FCPD)  recovered human stays from a physique of water close to his crashed car.

Family and friends of Kyle Coleman are mourning his premature dying. The Morehouse Faculty freshman’s physique was discovered on June 10 in a search carried out by authorities with the Fairfax County Police Division in Virginia.

“The FCPD Dive Crew recovered a human physique from a small physique of water close to Westpark Dr. and Galleria Dr. in Tysons. An FCPD dying investigation is now underway,” mentioned the division through their social media account on X (Twitter). 

Whereas the Fairfax County Police Division (FCPD) have but to launch an official assertion confirming his dying, the Morehouse Faculty Worldwide Chapel Assistants Program President Alonzo Brinson and Vice President Damarion King have formally introduced his passing and supplied their condolences to the Coleman household and pals, and Morehouse group. 

“Kyle’s spirit, management, and unwavering dedication to the mission of Morehouse touched numerous lives,” Brinson and King mentioned within the assertion. “His absence will probably be deeply felt.”

Previous to the invention of the physique, Coleman was final identified to be out with some pals on the evening of June 7. At 11:20 p.m. on June 7, an emergency name to Fairfax County 911 was made, however when first responders arrived on the scene, Coleman was not there.

The decision was triggered by the automobile crash detection function on his cellphone. The blue Toyota Yaris had been veered off the aspect of the highway with harm to the entrance of the car.

Because the investigation continues, Morehouse Faculty and the remainder of the group stands in solidarity with the Coleman household.
