Cinnabon fires employee over racist tirade at customers

ASHWAUBENON, Wisconsin (AP) — A Cinnabon employee in Wisconsin has been fired after a racist outburst directed at two Black clients went viral, the Georgia-based cinnamon roll chain stated.

Cinnabon posted an announcement on social media that the employee, who it didn’t establish, was “instantly terminated” by the franchise proprietor over a “disturbing video” of the incident.

“Their actions and statements are utterly unacceptable and under no circumstances replicate the values of Cinnabon, our franchisees, or the welcoming surroundings we count on for each visitor and crew member,” the corporate added in a follow-up assertion to The Related Press on Dec. 7.

The video was posted on TikTok and confirmed a White, feminine worker cursing at and taunting the shoppers from behind the counter as one in all them recorded the encounter. At one level she is seen on video uttering the N-word and saying, “I’m racist and I’ll say it to the entire whole world. Don’t be disrespectful.”
