In honor of the thirtieth anniversary of her solo debut album, “Alone in His Presence,” gospel royalty CeCe Winans was featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk Live performance.
“To carry out in such an intimate setting, the place the music and message might actually join, was a fantastic expertise,” Winans stated to host Juana Summers, on NPR’s “All Issues Thought of.”
Winans’ set checklist featured 10 songs pulled from varied albums, highlighting a profession of over 15 albums to this point.
Winans is probably the most awarded feminine gospel artist of all time, with 17 Grammy awards, 31 Dove awards and 16 Stellar awards.
Winans’ Tiny Desk Live performance was uploaded on June 13, and has now amassed over 881,000 views on YouTube.
NPR Tiny Desk was created in 2008 to spotlight intimate efficiency from effectively cherished artists throughout all genres. The primary efficiency featured Laura Gibson. Different gospel artists featured embrace Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Tye Tribbett.
