“The retreat challenged our individuals with thrilling actions like mountaineering, excessive ropes, archery, and yoga—experiences that aren’t all the time accessible to our youth. By these actions, that they had the chance to construct self- confidence, teamwork, and resilience. Moreover, every younger woman designed and adorned a journal and thru guided workout routines, deep self-reflection and self-actualization they started to plan and write a path for private progress,” stated Charisse Bremond Weaver, president and CEO of the Brotherhood Campaign.

Sponsors of the retreat included Assemblymember Isaac Bryan, Ballmer Group, BMO, Celeste Alleyne, Comerica Financial institution, Councilmember Curren Value, Councilmember Heather Hutt, Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson, JPMorgan Chase, Kerri Harper Howie (McDonald’s proprietor/operator), Laphonza Butler, Los Angeles Dodgers Basis, Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper, Los Angeles Sparks, SEIU 2015, Servicon Cares, Southwest Airways, and the Smidt Basis.
